britannia bay - things to do

The Beach House is situated on a 5km stretch of unspoilt white sandy beach.

The bay is protected and has dolphins who play and entertain in the waves.

The Southern Right whale is around too for ten months of the year.

The climate is sunny all year round.

In the mornings it is paradise, perfect for beach, walks and lazing in the sun.

In the afternoon the sea air makes taking a nap essential.

In winter, days are  sunny and evenings cold with occasional storm displays across the sea, but the enormous fireplace keeps things cosy.

The bay has a safe launch and is a perfect for boating and all watersports.

Try supping or our unsinkable yellow kayak on the flat water.

The famous surf spot Heaven is on the right hand side of the beach and Pastures around the corner. Kitesurfing is very popular too.

One can surf right in front of the house and boogie board in a afternoon,

Because Britannia Bay is a little peninsula, bird and sea life remains unspoilt, and provides a safe haven for whales, dolphins and seals.

At low tide, black mussels can be picked off the rocks, white mussels can be dug out with your feet, if you know how to do the twist.

We have four Schwinn bicycles for a casual cycle around the estate.
