food, shop & dine

There the West Coast Mall in Vredenburg, on the Saldanah rd that has a great Woolworths and

most other chain stores, this is the best place for a good stock up

The Pick ‘n Payin Vredenburg (up with the main road - you’ll find it on the left just past the

Standard Bank) is very well-stocked with everything but not as upmarket as the Woolworths.

There is a Spar in St Helena bay. It is very well stocked with most necessities.

The area around the harbour has some quaint shops and artist studios to explore.

The closest shop to Britannia bay is "De Agterbaaier," with an ATM, Lotto and a bottle store.

For emergency stocks, there is a place in Britannia Bay 1 called the Kosblik Kanteen operating

out of a home’s garage.... tricky to find, ask for directions, they operate 24/7.

There is a weekend market in Hopefield on Saturday mornings at 9.30 selling locally grown

and baked goodies, worth the trip.

There is also a bee shop called simply bee selling honey and products made from honey

and bee serum.

Plenty of freshly frozen seafood is available in St Helena Bay Harbour for a steal

Or take a drive to the neighbouring areas for some excellent restaurants
